2017 was the year of family "destination" weddings for us. We attended one in California, South Carolina, Illinois, and Colorado. After Chad's cousin's wedding in Estes Park, Colorado, at the Chapel on the Rock, we stayed for an extra three days. We only got a small taste of Colorado, hiking at Emerald Lake and St. Mary's Glacier, but those hikes left us ready to go back for more!
Itinerary:
Day 1 - Flew RDU to Colorado - Denver Biscuit Company - Rehearsal Dinner
Day 2 - Notchtop - Wedding at the Chapel on the Rock - Ed's Cantina & Grill - Downtown Estes Shops - Walk around the trail head of Longs Peak - Reception
Day 3 - Family Breakfast - Scratch - Emerald Lake Hike - Drive to Idledale - Red Robin
Day 4 - Snooze - Red Rocks - Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge - Olive Garden
Day 5 - Snooze - St. Mary's Glacier - Tacos Tequila Whiskey with Friends
Day 6 - Flight home

Things to Note:
-It's probably obvious, but pack clothes that you can layer! We shed our jackets on the first hike, but two days later, it had snowed and was bitterly cold. Gloves, hats, and jackets were necessary.
